Before

Before Lorna began to operate her property as a serviced accommodation unit, it had sat empty for almost a year. Her intention was to rent it out to guests who travelled on business for days or weeks at a time. Lorna saw there was a demand for short-term lets and the potential to increase her income.

Lorna approached Eden Burgh to take over the booking operations. She was delighted with her initial consultation where she learned about the services we have to offer. We gave her useful information, ranging from health & safety to tax, as well as legalities and advice on marketing her property.

Within two weeks Lorna’s property was listed on Airbnb and Booking.com, with the first guests arriving shortly after. In the first month Lorna had made 50% more revenue from her short-term let than had it been rented out long term.

Over the next few months, Lorna’s property increased its ranking. The listing moved onto the first page of Airbnb for properties in her local area and was commonly seen as a top pick by guests. What’s more, we had managed to reduce her time managing the property significantly.

Today

Lorna no longer worries about having an empty property. Her property has been reviewed numerous times as a 5* accommodation on Airbnb and 10/10 on booking.com. Many of her customers are repeat guests due to the exceptional service and quality of the accommodation.

Through the collaboration between Lorna and Eden Burgh, the property has been a great success by meeting the owners income aspirations. Our close working relationship means that we will be able to deliver a worthwhile investment for our partner well into the future.

The Marlfield is a fantastic find and exceeded my expectations by a long way. It was so clean and there is everything that a traveller could need. I am hard to impress but I honestly could find nothing to criticise. Most important nowadays is a good internet connection and the Marlfield passed the test well. I hope to stay there again when circumstances allow but I would imagine that the Marlfield will be well booked up in advance by anyone who has stayed there before.
