"Risk comes from not knowing what you are doing."
In life, nothing is a sure bet. Not savings accounts, not money under the bed, not a fulfilling job it would seem, and certainly not stocks and shares. At the time of writing, Bitcoin and other crypto currencies appear to be the new trend, and although the investment has paid out handsomely for some, it is terribly unpredictable.
In this series of posts I will discuss the risks associated with a number of money making strategies
The topics to be discussed are as follows:
- Employment (Part 2 of 7)
- Savings accounts (Part 3 of 7)
- Stocks and Shares (Part 4 of 7)
- Buy to Let (Part 5 of 7)
- Flips (Part 6 of 7)
- Serviced Accommodation (Part 7 of 7)
Each of these topics have their own benefits and pitfalls and it is important to understand how Serviced Accommodation and Property to a wider extent compares.
Through different forms of media, a lot has been said about alternative money making strategies. Some of which has been true, some over-exaggerated and some completely inaccurate. We now find ourselves overloaded with information on what “experts” perceive is good for us and what is not. It’s now not uncommon to see news articles that contradict one another. How many times do we read a piece explaining that a modest amount of red wine and dark-chocolate can be good for us, only for next week to read exactly the opposite. It can be very difficult get your bearings.
Unfortunately, some investors and savers have based their financial decisions on these questionable sources, which have led many down a path to ruin or, at the very least, are now unsatisfied with their investment. With hindsight and a slightly greater understanding, they might have been encouraged to take different and potentially more rewarding action.
After reading through these subsequent posts, I hope you will find yourself more enlightened as to what options are available to you, enabling you to make an informed decision with your time and money.
