Blog Post 1 What is Serviced Accommodation?

Serviced Accommodation (SA) can also known as short-term lets or Furnished Holiday Lets (FHL). They are self-catering properties that are booked by the night through websites such as Airbnb and Booking.com. Much like a hotel room but with more amenities, greater freedom and space

If you have ever booked a villa for a week or two on the sunny Costa del Sol, then you will have stayed in a Serviced Accommodation unit.

These properties can come in all shapes and sizes, ranging from small city studios to majestic manor houses in the countryside. It just depends on how much you are willing to spend.

Take Edinburgh for example. Many of the holiday and corporate let properties here are 1 or 2 bed flats, however, pay a little more and you can rent a bungalow. Pay a lot more and you can experience a luxurious stay in a city centre penthouse. Conversely, it has been known for hosts to rent out a tent in their back garden. The range of properties is endless.

Properties like these offer an exciting option for guests. Instead of having to rely on cramped and expensive hotel rooms, Serviced Accommodation enable guests to get exactly what they want

Family groups can enjoy homely comforts such as; for all guests to sleep in the same property or having the option to make full use of the kitchen facilities. This type of accommodation is sociable, flexible, spacious, can offer privacy and is great value for money over the alternatives.

Some might pick an apartment just because it has a hot tub.

The range of SA is nearly endless and within Edinburgh you will always find a property that appeals to you.
